ACR+ member Cascais Ambiente participated in the inauguration of 10 machines for returning beverage packages in the frame of iREC project.
Recycling empty glass, plastic and aluminum beverage packaging on the new machines distributed over commercial areas in the municipality is now possible. As a reward, users receive points per package through the CityPoints Cascais application. In this application, which distinguishes several sustainable behaviors of Cascais residents, points can be exchanged for prizes (such as stainless-steel straws, bamboo toothbrushes, among others) and experiences offered by the municipality of Cascais.
