The Project LG Action "Networking action to involve Local Governments in the EU and international energy and climate debate" is an important local government (LG) networking action aimed at presenting LG positions relevant to climate and energy to a range of actors: local government associations, national governments, the European Commission and feeding into the post-2012 climate negotiations. It will provide information, mobilise and support the positioning of local govern-
ments, and call for greater recognition of their
essential role in climate protection and sustainable
energy roll-out.

The role of ACR+ in this project is to highlight the impact of waste management on climate change and facilitate the dialogue between local and national agencies and authorities - focusing on energy-related issues.

 

Call for input: Share the needs and perceptions of your local government with regard to energy and climate issues!

Local governments across Europe are invited to share their views, needs and perception of challenges with the LG Action consortium.

The LG Action consortium will collect and analyse information through an online questionnaire, to determine the status of sustainable energy and climate protection developments at community level.

  • Your feedback will help us to identify and report on issues and trends per country / region / and across Europe.
  • Your voice will be represented in the Local Government Positioning that feeds into the Local Government Climate Roadmap, as well as planned national-local dialogues.
  • Information will also be shared with national governments and the European Commission on a confidential basis (i.e. we will not mention where this information comes from).
