Conference: Towards a European Observatory for municipal waste recycling performances

16 - 17 September 2010: Paris, Grande Halle de la Villette

A FREE EVENT for ACR+ Members!

The ACR+ international conference was part of the Assises des déchets (Convention for territorial waste management) co-organized by the Association of Cities and Regions for Recycling and Sustainable Resource Management (ACR+) network and its member Ile-de-France Région Waste Management Observatory (ORDIF), along with the Ile-de-France Region and Idéal Connaissances/Réseau Ideal.

The ACR+ International Conference
The International Conference gathered a group of experts to discuss municipal waste recycling performances from different perspectives: interpreting quantitative objectives in link with the recent European waste framework Directive, implementing local and regional objectives, examining collection methods and  data benchmarking, reviewing existing European statistics on recycling performances for different flows (packaging, organic waste, etc.) and discussing practical methods for adopting waste management targets.

ACR+ closed with a call for the creation of a true European Observatory for municipal waste recycling performances at local and regional level.
