As the lockdown or other restrictive measures linked to the COVID-19 are progressively lifted, a second phase is starting for municipalities and waste operators which now have to deal with the impacts of the past months and slowly resume their activities. To follow this evolution, ACR+ adapted the section dedicated to municipal waste management and COVID-19 on its website. You will find a first page dedicated to what can be called the first phase, during which the priority was to provide a fast and safe answer to the questions raised by the pandemic. A second page is dedicated to the current situation with already some data and numbers made available. A third page is listing some webinars organised on the topic. We are now working on a survey that will help us assessing the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and analysing the key factors to increase the resilience of municipal solid waste collection systems.
