Interreg Europe has launched a new call for experts in municipal waste management and circular economy development for an upcoming interregional peer review for the City of Burgas, Bulgaria. The responsible authorities are seeking inspiration, experience and good practices in relation to: policies and measures that contribute to effectively increase waste prevention rates; policies, incentives and enforcement measures to improve separate collection (especially for biodegradable waste, end-of-life tyres, bulky household waste, household appliances packaging); campaigns, awareness-raising and education programmes to achieve better participation rates in separate collection schemes and a better understanding of the impact of sustainable waste management and the circular economy.
