The 2021 edition of the Let’s Clean Up Europe campaign was launched during a webinar organised by ACR+ member AICA on 5 May. This year, actions will be registered from 9 May to 28 November 2021, in order to give the opportunity to everyone to organize clean-up events, compatibly with climatic/weather conditions, and with the sanitary restrictions due to the pandemic situation. Furthermore, for the first time it will be possible to organize plogging actions, a sport practice which combines run and abandoned waste collection. LCUE aims to promote the collaborations among communities and a collective awareness in Europe on the big challenge of waste prevention. In fact, clean-ups can be powerful educational activities to raise the importance of taking personal action in the waste reduction.
