Last 18 October 2022, ACR+ and the other members of the European Circular Economy Stakeholder Platform (ECESP) coordination group met in person to exchange on upcoming work plan, activities and future paths for the platform.

The European Commission opened the meeting sharing updates on the implementation of the Circular Economy Package and the key initiatives that will be published in November. This was followed by the ECESP secretariat announcing the extension of the coordination group for another 2.5 years.

ACR+, as coordinator of the Leadership Group (LG) of cities and regions, gave a short update on the LG main activities of past years. They all aimed at facilitating the governance of circular economy in cities and regions, its monitoring and improving the regulatory and policy framework for these key actors. For example, ACR+ organised two EU Circular Talks (Measuring circular economy impacts in cities and regions, and cities and regions fostering circular economy transition), which are workshops, webinars or interviews aimed at exchanging and discussing about circular topics.
