ACR+ was one of the speakers of the 2022 edition of the Circle the Med conference. Building on the findings and recommendations of the COP27, the conference took into consideration the important developments in the Mediterranean region in regard to energy transition, climate neutrality, zero pollution and food security.
 
The session “Smart Cities: Empowering Circular, Urban Innovation across the Mediterranean”, on 24 November, in which ACR+ participated outlined the main initiatives and good practices where cities promote circular economy and urban innovation. Together with other speakers of the panel, ACR+ discussed the particularities of Mediterranean cities, especially how the concept of “smart cities” and its application should be well balanced with other challenges (social inclusion, fighting the digital gap, etc.).
