On 07 February 2019, the Walloon Government an ACR+ member, discussed the content of a call for projects for the creation of a new recycling sector in Wallonia.
 
The move comes after China drastically curtailed its imports of recycled waste last year and in anticipation of an increase in the amount of plastic waste collected in Wallonia in 2019-2020 due to the introduction of the new P+MC (Plastics, Metal, beverage Cartons) bags.
