On 9 April 2019, ACR+ member Région Sud published a progress report for 2018, workshop reviews, and action factsheets about their Life Smart Waste project.

The progress report covers the 2018 calendar year and notes that the project has been advancing in an encouraging manner. Thus, 73 actions representing more than 50% of the planned actions had been initiated as of December 2018. During the year, the partners focused on strengthening and adapting equipment to improve the waste recovery rate, the report adds.

Among the activities carried out in the region were six thematic workshops, which brought together more than 200 participants. The summaries of the last two workshops are available online. They cover the topics of  designing public spaces to improve waste selection and the implementation of the Ecowaste4food project.

Région Sud has also published individual actions factsheets, which assess actions implemented all around the region. These actions concern the issues of recycling, composting and of the upgrading of two waste collection in Collobrières and in Tourrettes.
