Bruxelles Environnement Horizontal New 80px

The Good Food strategy, led by ACR+ members Brussels Environment and Brussels Economy Employment since 2016, published its first results.

The results show ten in eleven social grocery stores offer fresh fruit and vegetables, four regularly offer organic products. 600 tonnes of unsold goods are recovered, transformed, and redistributed per year.

Thanks to the Good Food Cantines, the data shows a reduction of -8.4% of waste and -10.2% in meat consumption, while it sees an increase of + 4.8% in the supply of organic products.

In three years, the number of urban agriculture projects increased from 16 to 32 projects, creating over 100 jobs.
