From 1 July, ACR+ member Maastricht will increase the fees for bringing bulky household waste, contaminated wood and soil to civic amenity sites. This is due to an increase in the national waste tax, as part of the national policy to discourage the burning or landfilling of household waste. The national waste tax on the incineration of bulky household waste and contaminated wood increased from EUR 13.21 per tonnes in 2019 to EUR 32.12 per tonnes this year.
