ACR+ member ENT published in the “IEB Report 1/2020: Cities, taxation and climate change” a new article on municipal waste taxation. The publication is coordinated by the Institut d’Economia de Barcelona with the collaboration of the Universitat de Barcelona and the Instituto de Estudios Fiscales.
 
Although landfill and waste incineration taxes are levied in most European countries, Spain is one of the few countries that has opted not to levy a state-wide tax. However, these two taxes are becoming increasingly more common among its regions or Autonomous Communities.
