The Municipality of Póvoa de Varzim and ACR+ member LIPOR launched a pilot and pioneer project of selective collection at the Aver-o-mar fair which aims to improve waste management.

On the launch day, yellow and blue bags were distributed to all market vendors for the separation of plastic and paper / cardboard packaging at their own stand and to be later placed, when full, in the containers made available at the fair. Alongside this, awareness-raising actions were carried out, clarifying all the steps for a correct recycling.
