The construction sector is a major consumer of resources and producer of waste, in the Brussels region and elsewhere. In order to provide the keys to applying the principles of the circular economy in construction and renovation projects, the Region, including ACR+ member Brussels Environment, has just published its Vademecum on the integration of circularity in public procurement.

This Vademecum serves as a guide that project owners can follow at each stage of their circular project. Each concept addressed in the document is accompanied by examples of circular projects. The Vademecum also includes resources that project owners can use to further develop their circular approach. The document is divided into two main parts, renovation and circular construction.
