A new campaign, designed by ACR+ member AMB, aimed at the 36 metropolitan municipalities, will provide information on the waste separation habits of hotels, bars, restaurants, campsites, nightclubs and catering companies, and further improve their results. The aim is to provide the HORECA sector, which is responsible for the generation of 50% of commercial waste in the metropolis, with information and tools to improve selective collection, as well as to find out the impact of the economic crisis of covid- 19 on their activity.

This action will favour an increase in selective collection in Hospitalet, one of the metropolitan municipalities that needs to increase its recycling rate: its average stands at 24.4%, while the metropolitan average is 37.5%. The action will also take place in Castellbisbal, one of the metropolitan municipalities with better recycling rates: its average stands at 61%.
