The EU Green Week event entitled “Tackling litter pollution: from obligations to actions!” took place on 2 June 2021. Through this event, ACR+ member CITEO shared good practices and concrete actions on the ways to tackle litter pollution. The event gathered institutional representatives, political frontrunners, stakeholders of the packaging value chain and NGOs, with the aim to foster the dialogue between all the actors. A presentation about the resolution of the European Parliament on the impact of marine litter on fisheries introduced the event. ACR+ member LIPOR participated in the panel debate that touched upon different topics: the role of innovation, the responsibility for litter pollution or the need for data to identify the sources of pollution.
