The "Cleaner School" label is a prize awarded to schools and pupils who have made responsible waste management a priority. Of the 125 Walloon schools that took part in the labeling project during the year 2020-2021, 100 have just received the label. To help them implement this project, the selected schools benefit from the support of a facilitator throughout the school year. Awareness-raising activities and a grant also enable them to complete their cleanliness and sorting infrastructure.

This project was initiated by Be WaPP, a non-profit organisation that works in ACR+ member Wallonia to improve public cleanliness, and Fost Plus, which is responsible for the selective collection, sorting and recycling of household packaging waste in Belgium.
