For one year, the Rue de Paradis (10th district) in ACR+ member Paris has taken up the challenge of reducing its waste. Its residents, businesses and companies are experimenting with solutions to avoid landfilling or incinerating waste as much as possible. In September, thirteen new areas joined this initiative. The programme includes advice and activities to reduce their production and rethink their consumption such as actions in schools; actions aimed at local residents; specific actions aimed at volunteer traders; sorting and waste collection equipment that has been reinforced or adjusted; and awareness-raising workshops during events.
