ACR+ member Tuscany region has approved a new Regional Plan for Circular Economy to promote better waste management practices and reduce waste in the region. The plan analyses in detail the state of integrated waste management in Tuscany, both municipal waste and special waste, and describes the regional policies that will enable ambitious sustainability targets to be achieved. It includes a range of measures, including promoting sustainable production and consumption, increasing recycling rates, reducing waste production, and promoting the development of new businesses based on circular economy principles.  Among the main actions is the reduction of waste production, through an articulated prevention plan that envisages the creation of reuse centres; and the qualitative-quantitative increase of waste separated collection to reach 80-85% by 2035.
