Upcoming ACR+ report on plastic litter to be unveiled at December EPR Club debate

A preview of ACR+ upcoming report on the implementation of the Single Use Plastics Directive will be shared with participants of the EPR Club debate on the morning of 4 December. This publication offers an overview of how Member States are putting Article 8 of the Single Use Plastics Directive into practice. It reviews national approaches, early cost assessments and the difficulties authorities face in defining and attributing litter management expenses. Make sure you join the event, online or in person, to be among the first to discover the report!

The EPR Club debate Tackling Single Use Plastic Litter: From Directive to Implementation will also discuss the European Commission guidelines on litter cost coverage, contributions from Producer Responsibility Organisations and municipalities, and examples of how Deposit Refund Systems can reduce beverage container litter. The event will conclude with a planning meeting for the EPR Club activities for 2026.
