Information can be used to optimise waste collection, improve analysis and policy-making in the field of waste, and provide feedback to the citizens to steer their behaviour in the desired direction. Already today, cities and regions across Europe are collecting and using data, but they can achieve even more by working together. This is the outcome of the first seminar of the WINPOL project as featured in the new issue of the WINPOL Flash. The second issue of the project’s newsletter, prepared by ACR+, also informs about the other activities carried out by the project partners over the last months and introduces one of the partners, SNAGA - host of the latest project meeting and driving force for WINPOL in Slovenia.
