After three years of hard work, the BLUEISLANDS project is coming to an end. With the objective to tackle the seasonal variation of waste as an effect of tourism in Mediterranean islands, the consortium carried out research activities, pilot actions, capacity building workshops and awareness raising campaigns. The most essential results have been summarised in a booklet available in English and French.

The last event of the project will be a policy uptake webinar taking place on 29 April 2020 from 10:30 to 12:30. The event will bring stakeholders of the tourism sector together to look at how to move towards sustainable tourism with a collaborative approach that can minimise the invisible costs of tourism for the environment and the local population.
