The platform Close the Glass Loop was officially launched on 30 June with the aim of increasing European glass collection rates to 90% by 2030 and connect the glass value chain. ACR+, as founding member of the platform, joined the event and contributed to the video presentation. With municipalities seen as a key player to mobilise collection, ‘Close the Glass Loop’ partners will establish a strong partnership with local authorities to expand source-separated glass collection, improve glass collection in large cities and tourist areas and ensure that use, collection and recycling of glass containers is better supported by common guidelines and tools, at all stages of use.
