ProCirc RGB 02 A colour

Watch again “Accelerating the green transition with Circular Public Procurement”, a partner event of the EU Green Week 2022. The event reflected on the challenges to engage SMEs in green and circular procurement (CPP/GPP), and on how to measure the impact of circular tenders. The event started with a presentation from DG GROW on the EU updates in relation to CPP/GPP, how to facilitate public procurement to smaller enterprises, and the supporting tools available for buyers.

ProCirc partners shared their experience on how to measure the impacts of CPP (reduction of CO2 emissions, kg of waste avoided, etc) and how they involved SMEs in the process. For example, the Government of Flanders procured refurbished furniture using two framework agreements (a service based one working with credits and a "buying of the shelf" refurbished goods) and showcased the quantitative results obtained.

Cleantech Bulgaria presented the GREENER project whose main goal is to support SMEs to apply for green tenders. This was followed by Klein Nordic (SME) which explained their successful experience on monitoring and data collection.

The recording is available here.
