ACR+ member North London Waste Authority (NLWA) organised “Give and Take days” - free community exchange events. The underlining idea is that anyone can bring any good quality household item(s) that they no longer want and these items are then offered for free to anyone who would like them. Prior to the event, NLWA offers a free of charge collection of donations of good quality large items from residents’ door.

NLWA is running the Give and Take day as part of its “Wise Up To Waste” programme, which encourages north London residents to waste less, and save money. The last series of events saw 14 tonnes worth of household items exchanged by residents.
