On 17 May 2019, the Environmental Department of the City of Graz, Austria will organise the fifth edition of the “Graz environmental circus”. This event celebrates the "GRAZrepariert" initiative, a repair network that was recently set up by the city and is managed by ACR+ member ARGE.

The network, made up of repair companies from all sectors, aims to strengthen the idea of repairs by providing targeted information and raising awareness, and thus halting the trend towards premature new purchases of often short-lived products. In the member companies of the network, repair and customer service are the top priorities! Expert advice, customer-friendly service, transparent pricing and many years of experience in the repair sector make the member companies competent partners of the network.

The city of Graz promotes the repair of electrical appliances. Households in Graz can receive a subsidy of up to € 100,-- per calendar year - but a maximum of 50% of the repair costs. The support serves the reuse and extension of use of basically still usable electrical and electronic appliances. In addition, the activity of repairing is to be emphasised more strongly again and joint repair initiatives are to be promoted. The funding also aims to raise the repair awareness of the Graz population.
