Two ACR+ members have been highlighted in a survey published by Zero Waste France on the French "best performing" municipalities in the field of waste management in terms of production of residual waste. The survey concludes that 91 French inter-municipal associations, 38 of which located in ACR+ member Pays de la Loire Region, manage to produce less than 150kg of residual waste per inhabitant per year. Among the top performing agglomerations with more than 100,000 inhabitants, the Grand Besançon with ACR+ member SYBERT comes in first with 150kg/ inhabitant/ year.

The survey reveals that 97% of inter-municipal associations under 150 kg have introduced total or partial variable charging for waste and that 100% of the 18 inter-municipal households which drop below the annual 100kg of unsorted waste use this billing method.
