To achieve European and national targets for household waste recycling, technical progress has been made as well as improvements in waste collection and treatment performance over time. Strengthening the mobilisation of users of public waste prevention and management service is one element making this possible. ACR+ member Cercle National du Recyclage (CNR) has decided to study the communication implemented in the framework of projects or approaches of waste management and to share its findings in a book entitled: "Communicating well to better manage waste".

The book introduces the fundamental aspects of communication before sharing the experiences of the community’s members of the CNR to expose the practical aspects of communication. It also describes the different stages of a communication process to be implemented, depending on the situations encountered.
