ACR+ member the Catalan Waste Agency will grant EUR 2.98 million to support 85 local authorities to promote the use of recycled aggregates from construction waste. This financial support comes from the construction waste tax. Thanks to this support, 219,000 cubic meters of recycled aggregates will be managed and re-enter the market, most of which for road improvement.
 
Catalonia has 71 plants that manufacture recycled aggregates. Currently, more than half of the construction waste is recovered. It is expected that by 2020 the market for recycled aggregates will have developed enough for all its production to be absorbed in different applications.
