For the fifth year, Reuse Month, the annual national Irish waste prevention initiative, is taking place place throughout October. It aims to raise awareness about the benefits of reusing everyday items and materials that would otherwise go to waste.

Developed by Ireland's three Waste Management Planning Offices, Connacht Ulster and ACR+ members Eastern Midlands Waste Region and Southern Waste Region, the focus of this year’s Reuse Month will be on creativity, reuse, repair, and upcycling. There is something for everyone during this year's Reuse Month, from flagship events, blogs, video tutorials and specialised tutorials that will reflect this unique time in Irish life. After a first part on 8 October, two flagship events will take place online on 15 October and 22 October and will demonstrate how to revamp one’s home workspace, turn leftovers into three delicious lunch dishes, create a reuse wardrobe, and breathe new life into old furniture.
