ACR+ member Rezero has developed a Guide to Zero Waste Menstruation in the Balearic Islands, with information on reusable alternatives and a directory of points of sale for reusable menstrual products in the islands. In addition, the New Period campaign website presents teaching resources and audiovisual materials for working on menstrual education from schools, as a tool for social transformation.

Rezero estimates that in the Balearic Islands in 2019 more than 135 million units of menstrual products were consumed, which is about 1,600 tonnes of this waste, with CO2 emissions equivalent to the car journey from Palma to Sydney.
