Actions are being taken in ACR+ member City of Warsaw to reduce food waste. Unsold fruit and vegetables are collected at Warsaw markets. Since the beginning of April, more than 15 tonnes of food have been delivered to those most in need. From less than one tonne in April, it is almost three tonnes of food that was collected in May and up to 4.5 tonnes in July. August broke all records with 4,651 kg of food collected. The monthly statement of food collected also shows that the "Eat and don't throw away" campaign is gaining more and more popularity among the city's inhabitants. Source: https://um.warszawa.pl (in Polish)
