The Bin2Grid project, in which ACR+ member ORDIF has been involved since 2015, aims to promote the selective collection of food waste in order to methanize them and to recover biogas refined in biomethane and re-injected into an associated network of service stations in 4 territories: ACR+ member Zagreb (Croatia), Skopje (Macedonia), Malaga (Spain) and the Ile-de-France region.

As part of this project, ORDIF produced a video presenting the stages of methanisation unit of the Bionerval subsidiary of SARIA group. Bionerval offers a global service for the management of bio-waste, including both their collection and their recovery by methanisation.

The waste transported to the site currently comes from three different types of producers: restaurateurs, mass retailers and the agri-food industry. According to the Grenelle 2 law, large producers of biowaste are involved, with a threshold of over 10 tons a year. In total, more than 40,000 tons of food waste is processed annually at the site.
