As the three-year-long, European co-funded project ACCESS came to an end, ACR+, together with its project partners—the Sant'Anna School of Advanced Studies, the Welsh and Danish Football Associations, the GAA, and FC Porto—hosted the project's Final Conference.
The conference took place on 14 May 2025 at the Roi Baudouin/Koning Boudewijn Stadium in Brussels, from 10 AM to 3 PM.
|
The intention and objective of the event were to showcase the results and achievements in the four participating countries and cities, present the tools produced to unlock the potential for more environmentally friendly sports, and ultimately encourage uptake, replication, and further reinforcement of sustainable resource management and the circular economy in cities and sports.
To address these objectives and provide space for all speakers, panellists, and the audience to express themselves, the day’s programme featured a dynamic, participative, and co-created agenda, with contributors from diverse backgrounds and skill sets.
