Textile reuse and waste management have received increasing attention in the EU and globally. However, circular business models in textile reuse, repair and recycling continue to face challenges. The current policy and industry landscape presents a paradox, as textile circular models need to address the problems of linear business practices while at the same time competing with them on the market.
In this webinar, CISUTAC partners will explore the current landscape of circular business models for textiles, key market trends, the challenges these businesses face and the measures needed to overcome them and unlock their potential.
The session will open with a market analysis and context-setting from STAM, providing an overview of key aspects in the Circular Textile Industry in the EU. This will be followed by a presentation on the key barriers and enablers of textile circular business models from RREUSE, offering valuable insights into the action needed to address systemic and operational challenges to the uptake of circular business models in textile reuse, repair and recycling. We will also highlight findings from real-world case studies, presented by a representative from the field, to showcase practical applications and lessons learned.
