On 22 June 2016 ACR+ was invited to give a presentation of its activities during a workshop organised at the Committee of the Regions for a group of 13 Libyan mayors. This workshop took place in the framework of the Nicosia Platform, a support initiative established by the Committee of the Regions and the Euro-Mediterranean Regional and Local Assembly (ARLEM) in January 2016 to help municipalities in Libya solving the different challenges they are facing. During the launch of the platform, solid waste management was referred as one of the issues where know-how can be shared.

As part of its cooperation activities, ACR+ offered to the 13 municipalities its services as invited members and will explore collaboration opportunities with them.
