Brussels Environment | Driving circular renovation with new RENOLAB.ID initiatives
RENOLAB.ID (Brussels-based program managed by Brussels Environment) has launched two new projects to accelerate Brussels’ energy transition. The initiative supports innovative approaches that promote sustainable and circular renovation. The first project, Rénov’Ett, focuses on collective energy renovation by empowering municipalities to drive and support local efforts. The second, BEES cOhm, builds on the cooperative model of BEES Coop to establish an energy community that brings together producers and consumers, aiming to foster local energy sharing.
Part of the wider RENOLUTION strategy, RENOLAB.ID has selected 20 projects since its creation three years ago, covering topics such as material reuse, financing tools, and collective renovation. Open to organisations of all kinds, the program provides support for projects that make renovation more accessible, efficient, and collaborative.
