OVAM 80px

ACR+ member OVAM is extending the system for textile collection. Until recently, textile collection was limited to reusable clothing and shoes. As worn textile is also valuable from the recycling point of view, the sorting rules have been amended after consultation with the sector.

According to the new sorting rules, in addition to reusable clothing and shoes, worn clothing, shoes, towels, sheets, and other textile materials will also be collected separately.

To inform the public about this change, a communication campaign has been initiated. As part of it, flyers are distributed to households and information stickers on the containers are changed. Local authorities and textile collectors are encouraged to promote this model in their communication.
