In the middle of 2019, the Department of Rural Development of the Government of ACR+ member Navarra signed with the association Cederna Garalur and other local action groups (LGA) of the Regional Community a cooperation agreement to implement circular economy actions in rural areas.

This initiative consists in assigning the planning initiative to the local communities of each rural territory that, organised in LGA (public-private associations of assembly operation), will elaborate and execute a development strategy for their territory taking advantage of their resources.

The document covers three main actions: a specific training on the circular economy; the identification and feasibility analysis of innovative circular economy projects in the areas of each LAG; and the collection, selection and dissemination of a guide of good practices of circular economy projects in the rural areas of Navarra.
