Four municipalities of ACR+ member LIPOR (Espinho, Gondomar, Matosinhos and Porto) are participating in the More Glass, More Recycling #Horecaispartofthesolution project, promoted by Sociedade Ponto Verde and the Association of Glass Packaging Industries.

The project will provide establishments in the HORECA sector with more tools for the separation of glass packaging with the aim of contributing to increasing the recycling rate of this material in Portugal. It includes the installation of 270 glass containers, 28 of them in LIPOR's territory, with an innovative system to facilitate the glass packaging recycling process. These ecopoints will automatically bucket a 120 litre container at a single time, cancelling the manual process of placing the packages one by one and thus making the separation faster and more efficient.
