ACR+ member OVAM published the report “Tariffs and capacities (T&C) and environmental charges”, charting the quantities of waste deposited and incinerated in Flanders. The report provides an overview by type of processing facility of the available capacities, the quantities processed by waste type and origin, and the fees charged. This refers to incineration plants, a pre-treatment plant and the different categories of landfills accepting waste from third parties.

For the second year in a row, significantly more industrial residual waste was incinerated. In 2021, this is 10% more than in 2020. The quantity of household waste incinerated did decrease compared to 2020 but is still 5% higher than the quantity in 2019.
