DECISIVE | The second newsletter is out

On 25 September 2017 Decisive has published its second newsletter, providing an overview of past project activities, publications as well as partner’s news.

With regards to the project’s news, it has been noted that the results of an extensive survey conducted during spring 2017 in 6 European countries, by the Hamburg University of Technology, have been published. Additionally, the latest publication on obtaining certain bioproducts from solid state fermentation using digestate and other waste as feedstock has been also released.

Regarding the partners’ news, the newsletter outlined, that researchers from University of Aarhus have been declared winners at the Climate-KIC competition. While AERIS has successfully completed the start-up of its new biogas desulfurisation bioreactor, which efficiency so far is greater than 99.9 %.

The newsletter also highlighted the latest publications published by the project, namely on:

  • the definition of general specifications for micro-anaerobic digestion in a concept of decentralised management of urban biowaste;
  • a survey on waste collection systems with evaluations for decentralised applications;
  • a report on the possibilities of using digestate (and other wastes) as raw materials for Solid State Fermentation processes to obtain certain bioproducts;
