Bruxelles-Propreté | Mobile Recyparks return: collecting, recycling and giving objects a second life

08 September 2025 Members' News

Bruxelles-Propreté's Mobile Recyparks are back on the road this autumn. From 2 September to 31 October, these mobile civic amenity sites visit 13 Brussels municipalities with 75 collection dates organised in collaboration with local authorities. These units make it easy for residents to dispose of bulky items, household waste, and reusable objects close to home, ensuring proper treatment channels and reducing illegal dumping. In spring 2025 alone, the initiative collected nearly 1 000 tonnes of bulky waste and 60 tonnes of small household chemicals.

This campaign also focuses on reuse, with special pre-sorting stations in seven municipalities to recover textiles, electronics, bicycles, and everyday objects for a second life through partners. Residents can access the service up to four times a year by presenting their ID card. By participating, citizens help reduce waste, support reuse initiatives, and improve urban cleanliness as part of the Clean.brussels strategy.
