From knowledge sharing to real impact on sustainable event planning

The MINEV project enters its final phase, marking the transition from intensive knowledge exchange on waste minimisation in large events to practical application. During its first two years, partners, authorities, and stakeholders shared good practices through workshops and study visits, building a strong foundation of experience and expertise.
Now, the focus is on applying this knowledge through a series of five Peer Reviews, where each partner city or region presents its approach to planning major events while receiving feedback from peers. Three sessions have already taken place in Klaipeda, Bologna, and Central Macedonia, with Krakow and Málaga scheduled next. These Peer Reviews are proving to be a dynamic tool for sustainable event planning, ensuring that MINEV’s lessons translate into real-world impact and long-lasting improvements.
