LIPOR | Organic recovery plant marks two decades of sustainability

LIPOR’s organic recovery plant is celebrating 20 years of operation, marking two decades of commitment to the circular economy and the transformation of waste into new resources. Since its launch, the facility has processed over 915 000 tonnes of organic waste from selective collection of food and green residues, converting them into valuable products for soil enrichment and agriculture. Over this period, it has produced 159 000 tonnes of NUTRIMAIS – high-quality organic correctives and substrates that enhance soil fertility, improve water retention, and foster microbial biodiversity. Supported by the Green Park and the Cemetery Green Waste Sorting Platform, the plant ensures careful selection of biowaste, guaranteeing the purity of raw materials and the efficiency of the process. Constant investment in research and innovation ensures each tonne produced upholds the highest standards and responds to agricultural demands.
