Government of Navarra | Aid program launched to help companies manage and reduce waste
The Department of Rural Development and Environment of the Government of Navarra has launched a EUR 3.2 million aid program to help companies prevent, recycle, or recover industrial waste. The program covers projects carried out in 2025, 2026, and 2027. Eligible actions include waste prevention, recycling, circular economy initiatives, R&D projects, and the use of recycled aggregates in construction. Support levels range from 60% for small businesses to 40% for large companies, with funding caps depending on the type of project.
The initiative is funded through Navarra’s Waste Fund, created under the 2018 Waste and Taxation Law, which collects resources from landfill and incineration taxes and waste-related fines. Its main goal is to reduce the environmental and health impacts of industrial waste while promoting sustainable production. By prioritising higher levels of the waste management hierarchy, the government seeks to encourage innovation, improve treatment techniques, and strengthen the circular economy across sectors.
