Metropole Rouen Normandie | Young talents driving socio-ecological change
The new edition of the Créactifs competition organised by Metropole Rouen Normandie once again highlighted the talent and determination of young innovators committed to the socio-ecological transition. Nine winners received funding between EUR 1 000 and EUR 7 500 to bring their bold projects to life. Since its launch in 2009, the competition has supported young people aged 18 to 30 living in the Metropolis by financing innovative, eco-conscious projects across diverse fields such as the environment, mobility, waste management, social inclusion, equality, culture, and research.
Éole Menielle, one of the winners of the Créactifs competition, puts her creativity at the service of the association Écolocity by giving a second life to sports equipment. In her workshop, she transforms inner tubes, tents, inflatable mattresses, balls, or rackets into unique accessories such as bike bags, handbags, or toiletry kits. Items that can no longer be reused are upcycled into new creations, ensuring nothing goes to waste. Her long-term goal is to share her skills and passion through workshops.
