As from the new scholastic year of 2022, ACR+ member Eastern Regional Council Malta provided sustainable stationery to all Year 1 students (aged 5 to 6) within state, church and private schools across the Eastern Region of Malta. The stationery set included; a bamboo ruler, a wooden sharpener, a cardboard pen, a paper pencil, an eraser, a Sprout pencil and a set of 12 pencil colours. The aim of this project was to raise more awareness about sustainability and that the children as well as their parents and guardians will know that there are other, more sustainable options on the market. In total 23 schools and 3 catechism centers benefited from this project amounting to a total of 1200 pupils.
