The Circular Care Call, launched by Flanders Circular, is providing financial support for EUR 1.6 million to 17 projects addressing waste reduction and circularity in the healthcare sector. Through the call, Flanders Circular aims to encourage stakeholders to adopt more circular principles in healthcare and experiment with reusable materials without compromising quality and safety. By promoting innovative business models and fostering collaboration in the value chain, it should be possible to reduce material usage in the extensive healthcare sector. The 17 approved projects address various topics, ranging from the revaluation of medical batteries to the possibility of reusable materials: from linen to eyeglass frames and reusable testing kits for diabetics.
